Homemade Baby Food
I wanted to also included that I will be making my own baby food. I have a 5 month old baby girl, and I have never before made my own baby food. I have two other daughters that are older in which I didn't make my own baby food for them. So now I am very excited to try this out. I have bought this baby book, that's called, "Cooking For baby". It has great reviews and the age group is 6-18 months! I cant wait to get started on this and let all you know how it goes. Here is the book if you wanted to research the book or even buy it for yourself, you can get this book on Amazon.com for $12.18

think this is a really cool idea. I know that there is a lot of fear about Monsanto and GMO foods in concern with growing adolescents. This seems like a great way to circumvent that. It does seem like it would take a lot of time to do though. Sometimes we don't have enough time to create such nice creations, and we fall victim to unhealthier conveniences, such as already made baby formula. You should post information on the progress of your endeavor in concern with making baby food. Can't wait to read what you post in the future!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI love cooking, so even though you are not my group member, I am following your blog . I like the idea that you are including baby food also. Now a days its a fast food era, people want quick food ('grab a bite' like they call it). There's a saying that when food is cooked at home, it has the secret ingredient called "love" added by the chef, , which makes the dish more yummier and healthier. I myself cook all our meals at home, but mine are mostly Indian cuisine. I can't wait to try something new. Looking forward to read your blog.
Regards
I really like this blog post. I also have a five month old baby, and will be making my own baby food once he is ready to try eating regular foods. I like how you wrote down information on where to find the baby cookbook and the price. Your tone in your blog is very relatable and down to earth. The visuals are also very pleasing to a reader. Good job so far.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do not have a child or plans to have a baby, I thought your post was well thought out with regaurds to making your own baby food. That's a great idea that probably saves you some greatly needed money. I hope all goes well with your five month old, and I pray your baby continues to grow up healthy and developes a beautiful out-look on living life. Happy raising.
DeleteThis is a great idea to make your own baby food for your baby. A lot of baby food you buy from the stores aren't even that good for babies. Plus store bought baby food is processed and just a little more expensive. Hopefully your baby likes everything you make.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on such a healthy decision. I hope this post will inspire many mothers to do the same. When my daughter was a baby, I prepared most of baby-food for her. When she was a little older and had a few teeth, I had found a hand-blender just for babies. This small gadget was very easy to use: Put a small amount of regular food in, turn the handle until the food was mashed. Baby food was ready to serve in no time. In this manner, she could almost eat the same food as her parents (except for spicy, fried or cheesy stuff, which are to heavy for a young baby's stomach). But I was cooking our meal, this was no burger and french fries!
